Constar’s Vertical Compensation Technology (VCT®) is a breakthrough for hot fill containers, delivering the clarity and rigidity which emulates the feel of glass in lightweight, environmentally friendly PET.

Rib Design for Hot Fill Applications
PET containers with VCT technology feature a rib design specifically for hot fill applications. The unique geometry eliminates the need for vacuum panels and allows for weight reduction in the package. Because we employ CONSTruct™ advanced predictive engineering to optimize the design of these containers, they feel more rigid without added material. Customers choose from Constar’s best-in-class monolayer barrier technologies, MonOxbar® and DiamondClear®, for the freshest flavor, aroma and color, and the desired shelf-life requirements.

Better performance on filling and labeling lines
PET containers with VCT technology feature a monolayer structure, which eliminates the threat of delamination that occurs in multi-layer plastic containers. The panel-less round design also allows for more efficient high-speed label application.

Sustainable and Recyclable
The unique geometry of VCT technology results in more strength using less material. Less weight means fewer trucks are required to transport product thereby reducing the carbon footprint. Used containers are 100 percent recyclable.
