Constar technologies “down under”
Constar has an active licensing agreement with the Pact Group of companies which include the VIP Packaging, Plaspak Packaging and Alto Packaging businesses in Australia and New Zealand. The license covers products that incorporate Constar’s line of oxygen scavenger materials, as well as technology support, including the development of novel containers designed with Constar’s advanced predictive engineering software. Under the terms of the agreement, the Pact Group and its subsidiaries are able to supply customers in Australia and New Zealand with PET containers with Constar’s advanced barrier technologies. |
Licensing
To increase access to its best-in-class technologies, Constar licenses or sells Oxbar® and MonOxbar® oxygen scavenging technologies to leading converters and brand owners worldwide. PET containers made under licenses to Constar patents protect oxygen-sensitive products, including beer, wine, juices, teas, enhanced waters and other beverages, and foods. These powerful technologies offer advantages over traditional metal and glass packaging and provide enhanced shelf life for oxygen-sensitive products. In addition, PET containers incorporating these technologies are highly sustainable, contributing to the reduction of the carbon footprint for brand owners, and are recyclable in conventional PET reclamation systems. Constar supplies preforms, material, and technical support under its licensing agreements.
